Offline Captioner
Offline Captioners are post-production specialists interested
in making a difference in the lives of deaf and hard-of-hearing
Americans. They are responsible for transcription and/or placement
and timing of stylistically accurate captions for prerecorded
television shows airing on the following networks:
- Discovery Channel
- TLC
- Animal Planet
- Travel Channel
- PBS
- BBC America
- Sundance Channel
- Lifetime
- MTV
- VH1
- BET
And more!
Qualified candidates have the following attributes:
- Advanced English grammar skills
- Typing speed of 65+ words per minute
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work under stringent deadlines
- Ability to pay great attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Computer literacy skills with Windows Proficiency
- English, Journalism, Communications or related degree
preferred
