Production coordinators play a vital role in VITAC’s realtime captioning department, located in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Highly experienced editors, production coordinators are responsible for research, script preparation, set up and on-air continuity of closed captioning for over 90,000 hours of programming per year, including:

• CNN
• CNN Headline News
• The Tonight Show with Jay Leno
• Late Night with Conan O’Brien
• CBS Early Show
• The Weather Channel
• BET
• Home Shopping Network
• Over 15 national and regional sports networks

… and many more!

Qualified candidates are interested in making a difference in the lives of millions of deaf and hard-of-hearing Americans and have the following skills/abilities:

• Advanced English grammar skills
• Good typing skills
• Computer experience, Windows proficiency required
• Ability to work with multiple daily deadlines
• Ability to work “television” hours, including weekends
• English, Journalism, Communications or related degree preferred
