Since 1990, VITAC has been the quality caption provider for broadcast and cable network programming. VITAC’s
captioning can be seen on all of the broadcast networks and
most cable stations, including Spanish-language television.
These program providers must caption almost every program
on the air, per FCC regulations: “As of January 1, 2006, all 'new' English
language programming, defined as analog programming first
published or exhibited on or after January 1, 1998, and digital
programming first aired on or after July 1, 2002, must be
captioned, with some exceptions.”
VITAC’s three locations (in Pittsburgh, Arlington,
Virginia, and Los Angeles) are fully staffed and experienced
with the volume of work and short turnaround times required for
most national programming.
VITAC offers the highest levels of quality, broadcast monitoring,
engineering support and technology to meet the demands of
this market. We are continually updating our technology to
ensure that each of our clients receives quality captioning
with uninterrupted service.

National Television Commercials
Television advertisers can increase their audience, and sales,
by adding captioning to their television commercials. VITAC
offers the fastest turnaround times for this “spot”
work. Many producers e-mail digital video files to VITAC and
receive caption files in less than one hour. For those producers
that do not encode, VITAC offers same-day turnaround service,
including captioning and encoding. VITAC captions thousands of political spots and commercials for Fortune 500 companies each year.
